The New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters Inc. (NZSTI) is a not-for-profit national association. NZSTI is managed by a national council of volunteers elected by the members along with several national council committees and three local branch committees in Auckland, Wellington and Canterbury.
NZSTI has around 700 translator and interpreter members. NZSTI represents the interests of its members, supports practitioners with education and community, upholds standards, and serves as the seal of professionalism in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our work helps to ensure that refugees and migrants have the choice of using professional translators and interpreters in Aotearoa and can trust the quality of their service.
