Localised is 100% owned by the Zero Waste Network, a membership organisation with over 120 members working in the resource recovery sector throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Both entities are registered charities, and Localised also holds accreditation as an Ākina certified social enterprise.
We exist to do good and make a positive impact on Aotearoa and its people. For over 30 years, community-led resource recovery enterprises have been diverting waste from landfill and creating local benefits - we want more of them across Aotearoa and the Pacific.
Our primary focus is to:
Increase the number of community-led resource recovery enterprises and projects operating across Aotearoa
Return financial dividends to the Zero Waste Network to support their work advocating for zero waste in New Zealand.
