MECFS Canterbury is a community health and clinical service based in Christchurch and we are focused on improving the lives of people affected by Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Long Covid throughout the Canterbury and West Coast regions.
We provide information, validation, clinical support, connection, practical support, and advocacy. We also educate and work with health professionals and others who interact with our chronically ill community.
Our services include:
Registered Nurse Service to enable people to access a diagnosis and receive support with symptom management.
Work and Income Advocacy Service.
Community connections and education through group meetings, online forum, newsletter and library.
Volunteer Outreach Service for practical supports at home.
