Co- Aotearoa

Co- Aotearoa is a new charitable organisation dedicated to fostering regenerative climate action through community collaboration, multi-sector engagement, and systemic change. Our kaupapa is to bring together diverse communities and networks to build a shared understanding of their different perspectives, challenges, and opportunities with a view to developing a coordinated and multi-sector/integrated approach to regenerative climate action.

Co- Aotearoa has been set up to build on the success of Auckland Climate Festival, to deepen impact, raise ambition and further extend our reach. From 2021-2023, Auckland Climate Festival saw over 400 events hosted by a total of 285 unique Event Hosts, offering a Festival programme co-curated with communities, mana whenua, rangatahi, businesses, advocacy groups and government as a whole-of-society response to the climate emergency.
